Alderaan is a Terran Federation colony world.

History[]

Alderaan was originally home to the DiWahn species. They developed an advanced civilization on the planet with technology similar to that of Earth in the 21st century. However, their civilization was destroyed in the 20th century when solar flares devastated their civilization and caused the survivors to fight over their remaining food supplies. Though their civilization was destroyed, the planets ecosystem managed to recover after several years.

Several centuries later, the Terran Federation commissioned Susan Ling to find new worlds that the Terran Federation could colonize. Her first discovery was the abandoned planet, which became known as Alderaan. Within a few years, the revelations of rich resources and soil led to its colonization by the crew of the SS Santa Maria. Three colonists, Benjamin Organa, Travis Ulgo and Charles Thul, were instrumental in the development of the colony by finding the resources needed in developing the colonies infrastructure an economy. With their help, Alderaan became a prosperous staple colony.

During the Sports Renaissance, the people of Alderaan created their own baseball, hockey, football and basketball leagues. The planet is home to half of the Urdnot Clan following the Rokain pilgrimage and is home to a large non-human population.
