Alsakan is a Terran Federation colony world.
History[]
Alsakan was originally home to the native Kendo species, whose culture seemed to be marvelous at a time. However, what they called the Time of Enlightenment ended when two great governments, the Jaran Republic and the Harutan Empire declared war on each other. Soon, the Harutan Empire developed massive biological constructs known as Alsakan sentinels, which were capable of destroying entire cities with nuclear energy blasts. This eventually led to the extinction of the entire Kendo species and the destruction of their civilization.
By the time of the Great Breakout, the entire planet had been healed and surviving species had populated the planet. The planet was soon rediscovered by a human explorer named Susan Ling, who was contracted by the Terran Federation to look for new worlds to colonize. Initial surveys of the planet revealed that it was rich in resources and presented ruins of a forgotten civilization. This led to the Terran Federation constructing the SS Ithaca, which was sent to colonize the planet.
The ship arrived two years after it was launched and the colonists immediately set to making a home for themselves. The rich resources led to the growth of Alsakans economy and its establishment as a prosperous staple colony. Alsakan was soon caught up in the Sports Renaissance, with the creation of their own baseball, hockey, football and basketball leagues.
Following the Scoodian War, unrest had begun to occur of Alsakan, with a group of terrorists demanding the independence of the colony. However, the group soon began to take up arms against the Colonial Government in order to establish its own government. When it was discovered that the rebellion was being funded by the Liposhen Union, it lost support and and the Alsakan Civil War ended.
